Green Vanilla Power Shake

After working out the last thing I want is something heavy for breakfast. So when I decided to make this shake it definitely did the trick. This shake has protein in the almond butter, vegan protein powder, and hemp. The flavor factor is just as powerful with the sweetness of vanilla and a "peanut butter banana" kick that makes this shake delish.

Don't forget the green! I've snuck some kale in this shake (of course) and that just adds on to the health benefits... And coolness factor of course (haha). I mean, who doesn't love kale?!

Ok here's the breakdown....(which is super easy)...

Ingredients for this Power Shake:
1/2 c. vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk
1 c. kale (I did half frozen and half fresh but all frozen will help give a colder shake)
1 tbsp. almond butter
1 tbsp. hemp seeds (I used raw shelled hemp seeds or grind up your whole hemp seeds to a fine meal)
1 tbsp. or scoop of vegan vanilla protein powder (I used Whole Foods brand soy protein powder)
1/2 banana (fresh or frozen)
*ice (optional)
*soaked raw almonds (optional)

Directions:
First blend your greens and liquids. So blend the kale leaves and almond milk until smooth. Next add almond butter, hemp seeds and protein powder. Blend until smooth. Finally add banana and blend. If you are using a fresh banana (as I did based on availability) then add ice and blend until smooth. Pour in glass and enjoy!

The best part? Well the taste of this shake is pretty close to a vanilla milkshake BUT yet another perk is that this shake comes to around 350 calories. So whip one up for a breakfast on the go or a quick yet power packed lunch. You won't be disappointed!

Happy Sipping!
